Rings for Wedding
I don’t know what the customs are in other places and other countries, but in Israel when a couple gets married, two rings are bought. One ring is a functional one and this is the wedding ring. It is for the wedding ceremony and it is the ring the groom puts on the bride’s finger. By the way, the groom also wears this ring but no one puts it on his finger (You see, it is better to be a woman in my country). It is usually a simple ring made of gold without any ornaments whatsoever.
The Other ring is the engagement ring. And this ring entails a completely different story. This is the ring, the man gives his chosen one when he proposes. This ring has to be unique in contrast to the wedding ring, and here there is much room for creativity and originality. One thing, though, remains constant. An engagement ring is a diamond ring and his mand buys a diamond according to his financial abilities.
My ring was special. It was not the most expensive one in term of all the 4 Cs a diamond is measured by. But is came from the heart of the one who loves me, so for me it is the most expensive jewelry in the whole universe.
